The Holiday Mixer!Saturday, December 3rd6:30PM - 8:30PM“Illumine”: it means to light up; brighten, irradiate, illuminate, enlighten. There have been dark days these past few years. But truly there is light at the end of the tunnel. “Be The Light”. Most holidays celebrated in this season include light. All forms of light are light. No matter the culture or belief. Light; for warmth, heat, comfort, and utility. There is little comfort in the darkness. Each point of light, a spectrum of color, joined to another increases the light force, energy, and strength. On 12/3 6:30PM - 8:30PM your NPMA friends and neighbors will come together in unity and celebrate the light that is. Each individual, a point of light, when joined to other points of light become a beacon; of hope, kindness and community. Enjoy tasty Hors D'oeuvres, Wine & Bubbly at this member event. Come to the HOLIDAY MIXER and let your light so shine.*Attendees must be 21+ years or older*natomaspark.com/ ... See MoreSee Less

FROM THE SAFETY COMMITTEEMail theft is on the rise and most of us have been affected or know someone has been affected by it. In Natomas Park we have Cluster Mailbox Units (CBU’s) which collects mail for multiple homes making it more efficient for USPS however, it also makes it a prime target for criminals. So far this year in Natomas Park, we have had 94 reported incidents. There is some good news! The Postal Inspectors made an arrest of a suspect last week that is believed to be responsible for a great number of the Natomas area mail thefts. Additionally, they are actively investigating reports of other incidents. But let’s remember, even with this arrest, we can do more to deter the mail thieves:1. Pick up your mail every day. Set an alarm on your phone to remind you if you need to. By removing the mail from the boxes, we can hopefully remove the reason for them to be in Natomas Park.2. Set up your (free) Informed Delivery account with USPS. This will let you know what is in your mailbox and help you know what was stolen (should a theft occur).3. Outgoing mail - we recommend only using the outgoing mail slots early in the morning prior to mail being delivered and avoid using them on holiday's or non- delivery days.4. See Something - Say Something. Get to know your neighbors and the cars that should be at and around your CBU. Call Allied Security and or Sac PD if you see something strange.5. Form a Neighborhood Watch and work together. The Natomas Park Safety Committee has information on how you can start a neighborhood watch in your area, reach out to find out more!6. Cameras, if possible, add a camera to your residence that can help cover areas that are high crime targets such as CBU’s. ... See MoreSee Less
